Warren was born April 20, 1935, in Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan, son of Ted Jahn and May Rooney, and moved with his parents to Prairie River and Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He graduated from high school in Prince Albert.

On September 15, 1956, in Prince Albert, he married Ange Anita Redekopp, born May 24, 1934, in Canwood, Saskatchewan, daughter of John Redekopp and Mary Arsenault. Warren and Anita lived in Prince Albert, where Warren was in the glass and hardware business. Anita died January 17, 2018, in Prince Albert.

They have two children:

1. Gordon Howard Jahn, born May 18, 1958 in Prince Albert. Married August 8, 1981, to Sonya Yvette Semchuk, born August 5, 1960, daughter of Steve Semchuk and Sophie Bohach.

   1. Melissa Eve Jahn, born November 7, 1982.

   2. Carson Robert Jahn, born April 1, 1987.

2. Patrick Warren Jahn, born November 20, 1959 in Prince Albert. Married September 8, 1979, to Linda Mae Hall, born October 2, 1959, in Prince Albert, daughter of Thomas Hall and Ada Dahl.

   1. Justin Patrick Warren Jahn, born April 2, 1984, in Prince Albert. Married Melissa Isabella Loewen, daughter of Gregory James Loewen and Karen Wendy Whyte, on September 10, 2009. Melissa was born April 7, 1984, in Kamloops, BC.

      (1) Oakley Warren Jahn, born September 22, 2010, in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

      (2) Gavin Jahn, born July 5, 2013, in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

   2. Graeme Spencer Jahn, born May 11, 1989, in Prince Albert.
