Edward Jahn's Brothers & Sisters in Germany

Recently, Kurt's daughter Gertrud has provided us with more information about Edward's nine younger brothers and sisters who remained in Germany.

  1. Nathalia (Natalie) Jahn, born January 27, 1859, in Meuselbach. Married Julius Hirsch, born August 31, 1864. They lived in Gera and had one child.

    1. Fritz Hirsch, born October 31, 1888. His wife was Klara, born January 18, 1887 and died in 1927. He then married Else, born November 29, 1892. Fritz and Klara had three children.

      1. Charlotte Hirsch, born April 8, 1913.

      2. Rudolph Hirsch, born January 14, 1919.

      3. Gerda Hirsch, born August 29, 1921.

  2. Ottilie Elise Jahn, born September 13, 1861, in Meuselbach. Married Otto Ludwig; they lived in Geraburg and had one daughter.

    1. Maria Ludwig, born July 15, 1889. Married Guido Dietzmann, born May 27, 1880; killed in WWI April 15, 1918. Married Friedrich Arthur Richter, born March 5, 1886, in Grosswilsdorf. Maria had three children, all born in Priessnitz.

      1. Else Dietzmann, born July 30, 1912.

      2. Kurt Richter, born March 14, 1920.

      3. Helmut Richter, born September 12, 1922.

  3. Anna Jahn, born July 11, 1863, in Meuselbach. Married Wilhelm Matz, born March 5, 1857 and died April 22, 1894. Married Edmund Jahn, born January 5, 1861 and died April 10, 1926. Anna had one daughter.

    1. Clara Matz, born August 13, 1886.

  4. Laura Jahn, born August 11, 1865, in Meuselbach. Married Franz Mueller; they lived in Neuhaus and had six children.

    1. Arno Mueller, born May 28, 1887. Married Tola Schneider; they had four children.

      1. Hermann Mueller, born July 10, 1909.

      2. Erna Mueller, born September 11, 1911.

      3. Werner Mueller, born January 6, 1917.

      4. Dora Mueller, born May 2, 1922.

    2. Max Mueller, born May 15, 1889. Married Hedwig Oppel; they had four children.

      1. Herla Mueller, born 1915.

      2. Dora Mueller, born 1917.

      3. Anna Mueller, born 1919.

      4. Max Mueller, born June 18, 1922.

    3. Tola Mueller, born August 27, 1891.

    4. Rudolf Mueller, born December 8, 1895; killed in WWI August 17, 1917.

    5. Hedwig Mueller, born March 24, 1899; died November 3, 1918.

    6. Frieda Mueller, born April 13, 1908.

  5. Helmut Oskar Jahn, born March 2, 1868. Married October 1, 1896, to Lydia Helene Rosa Franziska Fischer, born February 5, 1875, in Schwarzmuehle and died October 27, 1955, in Meuselbach.

  6. Emil Jahn, born April 30, 1870, in Meuselbach. Married Lydia Geier, Born July 14, 1873 in Schwarzmuehle. They had seven children.

    1. Karl Jahn, born August 18, 1897.

    2. Klara Jahn, born May 20, 1899.

    3. Hermann Jahn, born December 11, 1903.

    4. Martha Jahn, born February 11, 1906.

    5. Otto Jahn, born December 3, 1908.

    6. Marie Jahn, born March 9, 1911.

    7. Emmi Jahn, born May 31, 1913.

  7. Kathinka Jahn, born 1871 in Meuselbach; died 1917. Married Raimund Matthes; they had one child.

    1. Oskar Matthes; his wife was Paula; they had one son.

      1. Gerhard Matthes.

  8. Emma Jahn, born July 14, 1875, in Meuselbach. Married Ernst Henkel, born December 22, 1872. They had two children.

    1. Hedwig Henkel, born December 1, 1896. Married Otto Jahn, born January 3, 1896. They had three children.

      1. Arno Jahn, born July 6, 1920.

      2. Ilse Jahn, born March 6, 1924.

      3. Anni Jahn, born April 29, 1929.

    2. Arno Henkel, born April 7, 1898 and died in WWI July 15, 1918.

  9. Lydia Jahn (no information).
